About Us
Kynynmont Connemaras, LLC, located in the River Hills of Southern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, is one of the largest Connemara and Connemara-cross breeding farms in North America. Owned by Pam and Kirk Liddell, Kynynmont Connemaras is known for its kind and athletic Connemara ponies, which, at 13.2 to14.2 hands, are ideal for young riders or small adults, from novice to expert. Its larger crossbreds include Connemara-Thoroughbred crosses, or Irish Sport Horses, which range from 14.3 - 16.2 hands and are well suited for dressage, eventing and the hunter show ring. We also have some smaller, Connemara-Welsh Crosses, which range from 12.2 - 13.3 hands. Connemaras are known for their friendliness, athleticism, and beauty. They are Ireland’s native breed, and their special kindness, huge hearts and good sense are their most defining characteristics. Because they evolved in the rocky, mountainous terrain of Western Ireland (called Connemara), they are also extremely hardy and athletic. They have sturdy, well-balanced bodies, beautiful heads and large kindly eyes. You are invited to see Kynynmont’s Connemaras and Connemara-Crosses by video or in person at any time. Please contact Pam Liddell at , or by phone at (717) 872-9728 for an appointment or further information. When you come to Kynynmont Farm, bring the whole family! Scenic vistas and miles of hiking trails – both on the farm and in nearby conservation areas along the Susquehanna, Conestoga and Pequea Rivers – are among the best in the East. Camping areas are nearby as are many Amish farms, historic sites and recreation opportunities. |
